Fabrication of perovskite quantum dots for next generation LED displays

Researchers at Yamagata University in Japan, in collaboration with ISE Chemicals and Zeon Corporation, are working to integrate mass-produced perovskite quantum dots (PeQDs) into ZEON’s COP resins. Taking advantage of ZEON’s expertise in fabricating COP films and the polymer’s excellent light transmission and low water absorption, this new film format protects the PeQDs from environmental conditions. These new PeQD films have numerous potential applications, including for next generation color displays.
